Sara began her career with a bang as a high school Freshman from Santa Rosa, CA, winning the California State Cross Country Championship and both the 1600m and 3200m races at the California State Track Championship. She continued to be a multiple Footlocker Nationals Finalist, and won the National Title her Senior year. She became the first California high school runner to ever win 4 State Cross Country titles.
Sara continued her career at Stanford University, where she became a multiple NCAA All-American and Top 3 National finisher in cross country and track, leading the Cardinal women to their NCAA Cross Country Championship in 2003. Sara won the Pac-10 title 4 times in track and cross country and was a 3 time Western Regional Champion.
She continues to run professionally for ASICS at distances from 1500 meters to 5,000 meters. Hall ran 15:24 in her first professional race, placing 6th at the US National Championships in 2005. In 2006, Hall won her first USA title at the US 5k Road Championships (15:40) followed by a win at the 5th Avenue Mile (4:28). She has three times been a runner-up at the US Indoor Nationals at 3,000 meters. She represented the US at the World Indoor Championships in Moscow (2006) and Doha (2010), and the World Cross Country Championships in Japan (2006). Sara has a 1500 meter PR of 4:08, 5,000 PR of 15:20, and a road mile PR of 4:23. She is a 3 time runner up at the Millrose Games Indoors. She recently placed a close 2nd in the US Indoor National Championships at 3,000 meters, and tried her first steeplechase, which she enjoyed!
